Modify or delete the contents of your SD card?

I sent AppYet .apk file of my app to a friend to check out on his Galaxy Note 4.

He was reluctant to download it as it meant allowing it from "Unknown sources" but I assured him to ignore the message.

Now he tells me that my app has deleted most of the contents of his 32GB SD card.

Is that possible?

It may be that you have been otherwise.

I did not think that too.
All Android apps ask the READ WRITE to storage permissions as standard.
